l had Chinese food last night and l know people always say they fill up on chinese food, but it does not quit last.You always seem hungry again 1-2 hours later.Anyone know why?

I will have to agree with many other here, as the carbs r the main staple from the food, centered around the rice. I would add though, that the carbs break down into simple sugars in ur blood stream, which causes an increase in the amount of insulin in ur bloodstream. Insulin metabolizes carbs, which is what allows their transport. When ur bloodstream clears of the large, new influx of insulin, the blood-sugar levels drop & u experiance a feeling of hunger. Same thing as eating a huge bag of candy.Except you've probably ingested a much more healthy amount of proteins & fiber along with ur sugar ;)

Also, unless you eat breaded fried stuff, it is pretty low-fat. Low-fat stuff does not keep you satisfied as long.
CARBOHYDRATES! Your body metabolizes carbs quickly and burns them for energy before it metabolizes protein.
Chinese food contains lots of carbohydrates that metabolize really fast. This is what makes you feel hungry again so soon.
